and people, who are curious about Russian Snowboarding, welcome to
our official web site. Sakhalin Snowboard Federation, as a part of
Russian Snowboard Federation, is pretty young, but anyway, we hope
you will enjoy the time, navigating across the pages of our site.
First of all - what actually is this for? It sounds stupid, but we
don't know by now, but we have a feeling, that it would be necessary
in the nearest future. We can hear English speech on our ski base
very often, and sometimes it is the only difference that helps to
recognize the foreigner in the crowd, because snowboarders are the
same all around the world. For those, who are riding in Russia against
all odds, these pages are dedicated.
Riding in Sakhalin is really very risky and dangerous, so if you are
a beginner, you should better start in Aspen or Alps or somewhere
else in the world, but if you want to put yourself on trial and keep

On our site
you may find a lot of pictures of beautiful Sakhalin nature. According
to our rules, all the photos are non-professional, and they are made
by Sakhalin riders and their friends.
Here, in Sakhalin, you have a great opportunity to enjoy snow riding
even in June and July after a long climbing at temperature about +25°C.
As for our main ski base, Gorny Vozdukh, the season begins in early
December and ends in late April. Most of the facilities are old, Japanese-designed
before Sapporo 1972 Olympic Games. |
